Steven purchased his own business at age 19 and has been self employed ever since giving him an insight into small business. He comes from an insurance family and has been in the business since 1992, firstly as an adviser and then after the sale of Prudential Assurance as a Broker. Steven is a Registered Financial Advisor and also a member of MDRT and PAA and adheres to each association's code of ethics. Steven upskills by attending training days and conferences and is a member of The Newpark Group.
Ruth commenced in the insurance industry as an Administration Manager for a Hamilton brokerage which followed on from a career in banking. Ruth has stepped into a more sales orientated role helping Steven to run the business as the client base has grown from a solely Hamilton base to a national base operated out of Browns Bay in Auckland. Ruth is a Registered Financial Advisor, a member of the PAA, a member of Million Dollar Round Table, a member of Financial Advice NZ, and adheres to the association's Code of Ethics. Ruth holds a New Certificate in Financial Services - Level 5 and up-skills by attending training days and conferences.
Michelle comes to us with a wealth of admin experience after helping her husband in his business. She has had previous experience in the insurance industry so is a great asset to the business. As Administration Manager Michelle is our first point of contact for clients and insurance companies, helping us to ensure all your needs are covered.
Abi comes from an insurance background and was a broker for quite some time. The hours required and having a young son didn't work for Abi and she now works with us on a part-time basis. Abi is responsible for dealing with our clients and insurance companies directly. Her role is vital to the SGA Insurance brand and the services we offer.
